Trade me won't remove fraudulent negative feedback claiming item damage without prior contact
As per Trademe's policy:
Feedback must:
Be factual.
Be about the specific trade.
My most recent feedback directly violates Trade Me's policy stating that feedback must be factual and they refuse to remove the feedback left.
The buyer's claim that the item arrived 'burnt' is entirely false & not possible as it was NEW. This situation amounts to fraudulent claim behaviour (essentially online retail abuse/scamming which they have history of VISIBLE IN THEIR FEEDBACK. Mine was over 99% positive - They have 14-15 negative trades, including a comment about the same scam attempt. (Wanting a refund & refusing to return the item) Because this feedback is objectively untrue it breaches Trade Me policy. How do I get this removed.
As visible in their feedback this is an ongoing pattern. NO attempt to contact me before leaving the feedback - only after they submitted feedback again, demanding money.

Hello harley-c
Have you already disputed the feedback through Trade Me's official channel for doing so?
If not, the link is here
https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007000652-Dispute-feedback
PS: Technically the feedback you left for the buyer isn't correct either, assuming they have now paid for the item, yours is now factually incorrect as well. ;)

Kia Ora harley-c,
Has the item been returned for inspection or have you received photographic evidence of the burnt aspect? - Do you have your own full set of multi-photo evidence of the item's state? The photo's in the listing don't include back or all side views, a full set showing the item unburnt or a clear photo of the same area the Buyer has captured and is claiming burnt so staff can compare is required as New items can arrive burnt from the manufacturer.
Your Buyer has only 12 negative comments, the alleged sole scam attempt was 5 yrs ago - the remaining negatives are 10 - 12 yrs ago - the Buyer has plenty of current positive feedback, the company's decision is made on the current trade and evidence, not historical data. Submitting your photographs is the strongest defense you have. - All the Best.

You need to get photos of the damage, it is possible the buyer has tried to style it and caused damage themselves?,
Even better ask for it to be returned for Inspection and refund, If they refuse to return it for inspection and refund & will not provide photos, sign they are trying to scam, as who in their right mind would refuse to return a damaged item to get their money back?" It will then go in your favour as you have tried to resolve,
Do not edit your feedback until an outcome, as you can only edit once, you have indefinite time to edit it outside the 45 days, so can then leave factual feedback when issue is resolved,
