Good to see Aramex changed their Courier label, made it clear what size parcels should be, Satchel / Box etc.
I have been away for a few weeks so not selling, but booking couriers yesterday, noted the New Aramex Label, clearly stating Satchel Size / Parcel size weight etc. and about time, hopefully NZ Post follow suit, Hopefully those booked incorrectly make it easier for couriers to pick up, and those courier cheaters get caught, because some sellers continually cheating system and under paying, even despite what buyer has paid, pocketing the difference, one even an Intrade Seller,
Over the years I have received large parcels booked as small courier bags?, and reported so many to Trade Me, sellers doing this are ripping off the couriers hundreds $$$$, I have dealt with one seller multiple times, every time parcel has been booked incorrectly underpaid,
Yes the 2 letter codes denoted size they were booked at, some sellers continually use Very small / Small bag quotes on their auctions, when no way on earth items fall within those sizes, or would even fit in bags of those sizes, Big thick A4 Cookbooks do not even fit into a medium bag, (google can give you actual measurements of books) most would be a Large bag or for better value a actual Parcel/boxed,
But on the bright side, my Intrade address is now actually correct on labels, after years fighting a battle with them & Trade Me since book a courier started & having to stick stickers over address that came out, as had no joy getting it corrected, Half Auckland, half Rural Waikato, a place that does not even have a shop etc. yet personal account address was fully correct, go figure!,

I mean I get that the pick-up driver might not have the means to check dimensions, but it should be getting picked up at the depot. Flagged at that stage as under-ticked and refused to move further until sender pays the excess and a hefty admin fee as well.

flossy63 Community SuperuserDrivers were never trained for the codes and sizing etc. some had absolutely no idea as to what the code meant, so pick parcels up as they are paid too, at depots, thousands of parcels daily, who is going to check individual parcels?, they did have a clamp down a while back picking them up, but I do not think that lasted long,But now smart buyers can pick it up easier, when they get a large parcel saying satchel when not a satchel at all? because when we pay appropriate shipping for what we are buying, that we know we paid for a large parcel, but labels indicate booked as the cheapest option, i.e. very small what was the JQ courier bag and sellers pocketing the difference?, that is not on treating us buyers as joke/suckers etc. as if we would not notice?, we may buy on casual accounts with low feedback, but behind the scenes a lot of us are Intrade sellers, who can pick up on these things straight off, So hopefully courier drivers can easily pick up on them, and get stickers to slap on the ones under paid and refuse to pick them up,2

flossy63 Community SuperuserEditedI am not interested in ishipping, Please stop trying to push it on to people, it has nothing to do with this post at all,as some of us know there Pro's & cons to using them,all I can say people do your homework first, google is your friend, as I know some have personally made complaints as not as helpful when parcels go missing, ishipping have just wiped their hands of such things, pay for peanuts you will get peanut service, not worth hassles for a few cents savings, when it is actually the buyer who pays anyway?, and my shipping has packing costs etc. built in, not a straight out courier cost, so would make no difference to what I have quoted on my auctions, in the free form,We are not all high volume sellers like you, what works for you does not work for everyone, I am very happy using the Trade Me book a Courier, Let sellers make their own choice of what suits them best,EDIT. this is a response to a previous post which has now either been removed by poster or TM, or has been edited and now gone into Pending mode?,0

I belive aramex have no "cubicizer" machine that automatically calculates vol and weight and checks it with the paid barcode. So yes, on aramex you could send a live horse through their system with a DLE ticket on its back and it would get through unless a real human checked it, but in reality I suspect they have next to nobody checking tickets.
NZ post is a totally different game and they have the cubicizer machine and it can pickup under ticketed packages easily. A few years ago NZ post were ferociously nasty with the settings on the machine and 1% vol out and you got fined (and lets face it, a piece of flappy packaging easily takes you over that 1% tolerence). As times got economically tough and traders being penalized by NZ Post left for other couriers, NZ post appears to have lossened their tolerance a lot
