sellers picking the wrong option becoming quite common.
Confirmed bugI have sold a few things on Trade Me recently and I have noticed a new thing, buyers paying with Ping are choosing the wrong shipping option, - the cheapest one that delivers to a locality near me, rather than where they live. That means I have to email them and explain what they have done wrong, give them my bank details, wait for them to pay the difference which is usually about 5 -6 dollars different. It is a proper time consuming hassle. Anyone else seeing this ?

It's probably as the shipping options on your listings show me for example the cheapest option when I am browsing your listings. This is obviously broken, and not how it's meant to work. In the past, it used to show me shipping to my area, no matter how I look at your listings.
If I browse all of your listings, I am presented with Shipping from $6.84, like below. Obviously, if I am shown that initially, that is what I would be most inclined to choose.

If I however am looking in a category, of yours and other listings, and come across your listing, I am presented with shipping $8.79, as below.

It shouldn't matter how I see one of your listings. I should be presented with the same shipping estimate. Yes, I can click in to the listing and choose the correct one, but it is not a consistent look, like it should be. Maybe Trademe can get this fixed.

Kia Ora fivewinds,
I'm on the New Look Desktop site & I see the Shipping from $6.84 on a category search as well as when I'm viewing all of your listings. - You have very clear shipping instructions on your listings therefore Buyers should be selecting accurately, there's no excuse when you've spelt it out for them so clearly.

This is within viewing all of your listings...

And this is within a Category search of listings...

yes it is weird that people don't seem to be able to understand, it has only just started happening in the last month or so, so I presume it is the new look site's display.. thank-you for responding

It's why I put an address checker link in my listings.
Doesn't solve the problem completely but does reduce it.
The bigger complication is that some couriers deliver to some areas, & not others. It appears a particular problem with NZ Post & Aramex across the South Island. In the case of Aramex, they are the only courier (I know of) that don't have an address checker.
The randomness of information since the site upgrade doesn't help.1 -
thank-you.
