How to enable "make an offer" on your listing
Have looked a bit all over the information page of trade me, but cant find a way to make it possible for potential buyers to make an offer on my listings.
How does this work?

When you set up your auction it is on the Price & payment page,
It is only available to casual sellers, it is also not in My Products, so can only be added when setting up auctions on website, I do not use the apps, so hopefully an app user can come in and help there in regards to doing it on the app,

On the app, if you edit the auction you can also see the option to allow buyers to make an option.

To do it one by one is a bit of a challenge, as its only for that auction and you have to do it over and over again. Hope TM will add this also in "my products" some day.

Historically My Products was meant as a business listing tool. In-Trade / Business Sellers can't use make an offer.
But yes, many causal sellers are going to My Products with the current plethora of issues while listing in the traditional way.
So they would either have to activate make an offer to business sellers as well, or somehow program it so only casuals can use it through My Products.

What would be the harm to open it for business sellers too? For instance all "charity shops" are classified as business. All casual sellers who are selling a bit more from home have been "forced" to be a business. Lots of business would like to see "old" stock go.....
All reasons to make it available for business sellers too (and you can always not tick the box if you dont want too, but at least you have the equal opportunity to do so)-1 -

For me, I wouldn't want it to become available for business sellers. But I know others view it differently.
The thing is, if some sellers allow it, people will think ALL sellers should. I already get people offering me ridiculous prices via Q&A. If it was opened up to all business sellers I think that issue would only increase.
If it was made available and you used it you'd have to increase your price of everything. Because I can guarantee you that every single potential buyer will first send you an offer......... The nice fast buynow transactions would be gone. Depending on how your turnover already is you could be faced with dozens of extra emails to all be actioned and a general slowdown of the whole process.

That is a no from a lot of Intrade sellers, as been raised before on here, as it is we get ridiculous offers in Q&A's now,
if buyers know we can make offers but do not use the function, it will get worse via Q&A's, we will get too many ridiculous offers now, We are Intrade for a reason, to make a living, put food on the table, we are not having a shed / house clear-out, we are not a charity, As it is now, our prices/Reserves are at rock bottom on some items, because Trade Me is literally dying, members are leaving,
Intrade we have to buy our items to start with, and have other expenses to cover too, pay Tax etc., and need to make a good % profit on them, set prices at current market value, but when you have a $60 item and someone wants a 33% discount, No, and that is what we get in Q&A's some are just insulting & rude to be honest,
