Is anyone happy with the success fees for buyers now?
It seems like a disgusting and poorly conceived change to move the success fees from the seller to the buyer. This whole "goodbye to success fees" is just annoying another bunch of people. Who actually thought this was a good idea?
Hopefully this is either reversed or becomes the beginning of the end for TradeMe.

Sites dead. If they thought that was a great move there heads are in the clouds. can't wait to see the "supervisors" come on post and defend it lol

Well as you couldnt wait, I'll provide.
Intrade sellers - will be happy because it means the buyers who dont want to pay the fee will buy from them instead of casual sellers where there is no fee - if the overall cost is cheaper.
Casual sellers - may or may not be happy. They may lose sales due to the buyer not wanting to buy from them, but then again might be happy that they are paying considerable less in fees overall. Due to this, they may reduce their price which might counter the extra fee. They also maybe happy that the person getting the most advange of PING (non cash & buyer protection) are the ones paying for it.
Buyers buying from casual sellers - not many people will be happy paying more. Some people may not care about the little extra. Especially considering the points above.

So basically what your saying is if your a casual seller and you cant sell anything change to a intrade seller so you can make sales, and if you dont want to and cant make sales go use facebook marketplace to sell. What an outfit lol

It's to fiddly and complex.
Trade Me / APAX should never have messed up the website.
That said, by gosh, Garage Sales with signs on the street may just make an almighty comeback.
Frankly we are over the Cashless / Paperless/ Digital nonsense as it's Monopolies and Anti Competitive practices all around
But hey folks, Look up who attended the Bank of England training course back in 1973 - a local Economist who has ruined NZ.

Kia Ora sivasigns,
We aren't TradeMe staff we are Members just like you, these badge tags just appeared next to our usernames quite unexpectedly, resulting from our experience with the platforms and the voluntary help we've been providing over time. The word you're looking at is Super user rather than Supervisor. - I know this is very confusing however you can tell when a staff member comments in threads as their badge tag states staff followed by which team in TM they are in, like the example below...

With a Buyers hat on I'm strongly opposed to the Buyers Service fee - we know already most Sellers have incorporated the Ping & Shipping fee plus any packaging costs in the items sale price therefore to add another fee on top just for purchasing an item from a Casual Seller is a triple charge for the Buyer whereas I'm seeing same items outside of the company selling Total cost much less than onsite here. - Hope this helps.
