Looking for a past transaction
AnsweredHow can I locate a product I purchased through trade me that appears to have disappeared from my account. I know I bought it from Trade me as I have some evidence in my accounts however I am unable to locate the actual purchase, Does anyone have any suggestions how I could locate the seller and also why has it disappeared from my TMe account

Items disappear from our won items after 45 days, to track an item further back first try your emails, you would have received a confirmation of the purchase with the Seller's details, if you used the Q&A section you would have also received an email when answered, this will give you the Listing number which you can run a search onsite for. - Check your sent & draft email folders also for any communication you may have had with the Seller after purchase. - The next check would be your feedback page if the Seller provided any for you. - If you have no success you will have to contact a staff member for assistance with as much detail as you can so they can find it for you. It pays to keep your emails from TradeMe so you have easy access to all transactions coming forward. - All the Best.

I have also noticed in past week some of my won items missing out of my won folder, as yes I put all my Won E-Mails in a folder, and also record them in my expenses page, and yes Won items missing from my won folder,
best thing to locate them is use the link on your won E-Mails if you still have them, they should bring up your won Item, or use the Listing number if you have them on E-Mails,
This could be happening because of the changes they are making in the background,

You might find the missing items if you select "mobile" at the bottom of the page.
Some items if they have been created the new way seem to be no-shows on won / lost on classic desktop view.
While my won items are the same on both, on lost I've got 401 items on desktop view, 431 on mobile view.

TradeMe have been well aware of these missing Listings for over a year now - some just completely vanish from the system altogether, Gary maybe able to find his original comments on this if the Post hasn't been archived yet, meantime there is one that remains in Confirmed Bug status...
