Does the auto generated email from Trade Me reminding buyers to pay still happen?
I recently sold an item that hasn't yet been paid for. Buyer purchased 5 days ago. Normally I would wait longer but their feedback is terrible so I don't like my chances.
I did the usual request fees back link from the auction page. However as there were no fees to pay I just got an instant pop-up saying "success fees refunded"
My question is, does the buyer still get the auto generated email asking them to complete?
Or because there are no success fees to pay, does that email not go out now?

Kia ora imadeyouthink, yes, the success fee refund process you used does still send the buyer an email at this stage, even though there is no success fee to be refunded. If the buyer paid by Ping and you end up refunding them, any service fee they paid will be automatically refunded.

imadeyouthink - the payment instructions emails no longer send, despite it showing as sent when you look at your sold items. Multiple customers of mine have confirmed they dont receive the usual payment instructions email.

That's because Ping and cash are the only options - although heaps of traders are stating they would prefer bank deposits - which kind of makes a mockery of the whole thing.

Thanks all. I was meaning the automatic reminder email that is triggered when you go through the success fee refund process, rather than the original payment instructions greg23. Michelle confirmed that still goes out for now.
It seems buyers can still see bank details on their won page if they need them. So that helps.
