No I've asked different question, that is not the answer to this question. directing me a third party is not the correct answer. Maybe I should why this has never been implemented over the years is this a policy issue? There is not technical issues to why its never been done. But you don't have the answer and could have said you don't know.

I understand the question as written -
<quote> Why can't you block bad sellers? <unquote>
You can Blacklist Members from Bidding & asking questions on your Listing through TradeMe.
You can block Members from appearing in your search by going through TM's API Partner Bidbud.
In response to your New question - TradeMe have had No need to develop their Blacklist further, they are using a Trusted API system which performs this function very well.

I do wonder why this wasn't a feature trademe built into their system. If they saw the need to blacklist buyers then why not seller. For those of us that don't use bidbud there should be this option. And as Andrew as said he won't develop bidbud further, at some stage it won't work

Kia Ora AJ,
You blacklist Buyers & Sellers through the same path - it works for both.
TM didn't start out as the Business it's become today, it's good to read of the history, if you haven't already, it sheds some perspective of Then to Now - Cheers.

Hi S, yes but only on bidbud eh? Blacklisted buyers (on trademe) arent blacklisted for you to buy from. If if people who dont use bidbud, you can still effectively buy from a seller you've blacklisted on trademe.
Yeh Ive been with trademe for over 20 years and its been interesting to see how much its grown and changed

Cheers AJ,
There used to be a Pop up flag that told you that you are about to purchase from a Member you've Blacklisted on TradeMe - This will be on the To-Do tasks more than likely as it's come up several times in the Community. - Perhaps someone from TradeMe can give us an update of where that's at please? as that's a much sought after function by many Members to receive that warning.
Once you know the History it's easier to understand how the need for a complete rebuild of the system has come about.

flossy63 Community SuperuserYes, I miss this pop up, just last week won and auction via Buy now, items not up to scratch no disclosure of true condition etc. description almost non existing, but photos looked ok,Checked out feedback yesterday, yes, I should have done it first, way back 7 years ago a red from me items not as described & not fit for purpose and they did not care!! similar items, it raised another flag this person should also be Intrade !!, Last year brought from someone I had blacklisted on both accounts years ago, as mucked me around so much, a very rude buyer, this time I was the buyer & yes, it lead to another Trade Me dispute, which I won, Their feedback is shocking now, yes I did not check it, as on the new format, which I do not bother going to, Feedback on New format is horrible, yes should have checked BB in hindsight, But where is that warning flag?, all this drama could have been avoided, as would have brought off someone else, Please bring back the warning Pop up you have blacklisted this member, a warning to us to check their feedback first,0
