Buyer does not pickup Won item
AnsweredI have an item that was won and paid for, but the buyer is taking weeks to pick the item up.
I have contacted them and offered a full refund if they have changed their mind which they have declined, but I am still left holding the item.
I didn't want the item, that's why I sold it, so it's really their property now (I guess) and I'm left with it.
What are my options?

flossy63 Community SuperuserUnder Trade Me's code of Conduct Trades must be completed in a week,Give them a deadline to pick up, If not picked up by your deadline, just cancel the trade, refund their money, Easy if paid by ping, If you don't have their account number, you may need to contact bank and ask for it to returned to account it came from as no longer your money if you have cancelled,It is a good idea, if you have a pick up item give a clear deadline on auction, mine is 10 days so can include 2 weekends,then after your deadline and sending reminders you can just cancel, then offer out to other watchers, and move on,If you do cancel, don't forget to Blacklist them so if you have to relist they cannot bid and muck you around again,0

After weeks of this Not being picked up you can email your Buyer with - if it's Not picked up by (XXXX) your given date - you will cancel the Trade enabling you to Refund & Relist the item And Request your Success Fee refund, if one has been paid, by your given date. - Remember to place appropriate Feedback, nothing defamatory. - Cheers.

Sorry to read you've been mucked around with that trade,
How long has it been since the Listing closed?
Buyers have 7 days in which to complete a Trade unless they have negotiated an alternative timeframe with the Seller. How long overdue for pick up is it & have you contacted your Buyer to enquire?
If this has dragged on for some time now email your Buyer to say 'If not picked up by XXXX you will cancel the Trade & Relist the item. Or
If you have confirmation from your Buyer they won't be following through with the Trade the Help file you want to follow is Apply for a success fee refund – Help - Trade Me for instructions.
