Cant ask questions

Add this to all the other issues over the months of TM “upgrading” their systems….driving me nuts. I hope your issue is resolved.

Hello Antonius. How are you trying to ask questions? Via the App or desktop?

If it's occurring on one, try the other. That will tell you which one has the problem. If it's the App make sure you have updated to the latest version. If it's desktop you can do a cookies/cache clear. 

There can be some other reasons you can't ask questions. Seller has blacklisted you, or your account has been restricted for some reason.  

Hi Callum, im using the app and I've tied the desktop both do the same thing cant even put a question on my own listing done everything cleared history, cache and cookies still have clich even uninstall app and re installed still no luck waiting to hear back from trademe

OK, yes it will be something Trade Me needs to check out then. I would say there has been a restriction on your account for some reason. Could you have been naughty previously perhaps? Things like putting your contact details in Q&A can trigger restrictions. Brand new members can be restricted in Q&A as well. I think even if you haven't used your account for ages and it becomes dormant, restrictions are put in place. Another time it comes up apparently is if you have previously asked too many questions in a short space of time. 

I think its the app as i went to bottom of help page and clicked desktop and it works

I too am having same problem can not get q and a to work on laptop why does tm have to go a meddle with something that works?

Hello eric. Is it on all listings or just 1? 

Kia ora Eric, are you using the desktop site or one of the apps? If using the app try the desktop and vice versa. If the problem is just on the app check that it is running the latest version, if it is try deleting the app and reinstalling it so it starts from fresh. If the problem is with the desktop site try a different browser, also try these troubleshooting tips for clearing cookies and cache. 

Why don't sellers answer questions on their listings.  

I hav asked a few questions on a few different listings,  

- and the sellers just don't respond   .

It can get quite annoying when you want to purchase items, 

And the seller just doesn't answer questions from one week to the next etc. 

How do I find their email to ask questions  ?

This is frustrating I know However it could be a good warning to bypass these Sellers, imagine if something went wrong with the Trade or shipping if they can't answer a question now.

The only way to obtain a Seller's email is if you have made a purchase - Cheers.
