Start to list a general item, but I need to credit my account
AnsweredI'm wanting to list a few general items (clothing). Trademe is asking me to credit my account.
I have tried paying $1 or $5 to start. It has not been accepted.
Do I need to pay more upfront before listing my first item?
Thank you!

Hello Georgina. How do you mean it has not been accepted? How are you trying to credit your account? Are you getting an error message?

I have put in my card details to credit my account but then it just says $0 and asks me to credit my account again. It doesn’t take or load my money.
I therefore can’t start any new listings.
I’m wondering if I need to pay more $10-$20 to start listing items.

From memory you only need $5, but it could be $10 for your first listing.
If you are planning on listing a few items I would try $10 and see if that works.

Kia ora Georgina, you need to be authenticated to sell items on the site, to authenticate your account you only need to top-up your Trade Me account with $1. Are you trying to top-up using the desktop site or one of the apps? If you're on one of the apps, try a desktop and vice versa.
