Sending with NZ Post
AnsweredI have now had 21 parcels sent with NZ Post and not delivered. This as you can imagine is causing me huge problems. NZ Post are not being helpful and I really don't know where to go from here.

What does the tracking show on them? And does it show the same?

That's a bit odd. But yes, we need some context. How many parcels have you sent? 21 out of 20,000 might be understandable. I'm getting quite a few held up in Wiri at present. Part of the new automation happening there.
NZPost have always come through with compensation for me where necessary for genuinely lost parcels.

Very rarely NZ Post have lost any of mine. If they have not been scanned in, they usually turn up. The odd one I have had lost NZ Post have come through with compensation. This can take a while. (also not the full amount you have sold the item for).

Kia Ora Jane,
Sorry to read your parcels sent out haven't been delivered as yet,
There are no significant delays showing in the NZ Post delivery network as at 5:15pm 9 May 2025
- How long ago were they collected?
- Were they in the same or over separate days?
- Tracking status is always a good start as that at least shows they were collected by the company and where the possible hold up is in the delivery path. - Are they all stuck in the one region/place?
- Have you filled out the NZ Post claims forms for each parcel?
- What have NZ Post come back with so far?

What sort of time frame are we talking?, weeks months years?, as I have had no lost or undelivered parcels for years,
Are they Standard Post or Courier parcels?, as all parcels should have tracking these days, even the old red bags, tracking should be added, as you can still buy the black tracking labels to add,
Do you use the Trade Me Book a Courier?,Do you print your own labels or just write a tracking number on?, as often if not written on neatly can be misread and wrong labels are put on, so your parcel may show never been scanned, other thing is writing on with a pen that may get smudged on a shiny surface so cannot be read, as partially rubbed off,
do you also write the address on? and your senders addresses, as no address nothing to double check and match label with?,
These are a common scenarios that have happened over the years, and yes I not only received my own parcel with senders own printed Label, I have received someone else's parcel same day with the couriers printed "same" label?, no addresses on parcel and a poorly written number, as in same cultures 7 looks like a 9, so that straight out can cause confusion,
If they have been scanned, what info is on the scans, have they be held up etc?, if they are small standard NZ post parcels that are likely to be delivered by postie, they are often not scanned when delivered, but records, labels are kept, and may be recorded as scanned days later, some times never, same as Rural, as labels are kept etc. and are done back at office/depot as not all always have scanners, Yes always follow up on those ones that say not delivered with no scans as may have indeed been delivered, so days later recheck the Tracking and may show as delivered, but receivers see no scan at time and will claim not delivered when they have got their parcels, not knowing it may get manually entered in later days, Yes in past I have had a triers,
We need more info from you to really understand why it is happening to you?, because 21 is a lot,
