Listing #5261578847, also happened on Listing #5254712487 which I was able to bid on?? + several others over the last few months, It's been happening about as long as my email preferences continually get changed from 24hrs before closing to no email reminder. Also things getting put on my watchlist automatically again after they close - as in I will click on an auction that has been relisted and it's already on my watchlist

5261578847 All looks OK to me. But if you let me know what you want to ask I can try on your behalf to test it. Can't comment on the closed one, but that looks OK also.
The items appearing on your watchlist is a "feature" that Trade Me have applied to some listings. If you want to remove something from your watchlist you have to do so manually, otherwise it will remain there on relist. I quite like this, but I seem to be in the minority.

Sorry to read of your trouble there,
I could interact with both Live Listings yesterday 13 April 2024 - How are you accessing TradeMe, through the Desktop site or one of the Apps? - I'm on the Desktop site, MS Edge Browser. - I was able to place a question on Listing 5261578847 a few seconds ago (which was a test question so now deleted.)
- Have you tried through both the Desktop & one of the Apps??
- Are you on the latest up to date version of the Browser or App? - App updates are rolled out quite frequently so it pays to check.
- Try clearing your Cookies & Cache then reconnect to TM with a fresh start.
- If you are using the App try exiting the App altogether rather than just closing it down.
- If you're using the App try uninstalling it then reinstalling it.

Just letting everyone know the Seller has responded to my question even though I deleted it. - The response is by email & somehow doesn't appear in the Listing itself? - Cheers.

Interesting S. That didn't seem possible back when I did some tests on the new "delete your question" feature. Maybe things have been changed, or the seller managed to answer a few seconds before you deleted it.
Did you delete the Q immediately or let it hang around for a while before you did so?

I let it sit there approx. 5mins this morning just prior to commenting 9:10 this morning - the email from the Seller came through to me 2:09pm this avo' - I've checked the Listing a couple of times & the answer isn't on the Listing However both my question & answer appear under my Notifications.
EDIT: - Just to add, it was a lengthy answer in which the Seller had to look at the actual individual items for expiry dates for me & they actually weighed some items also therefore possibly took them awhile depending on when they read my message. - Cheers.

I am having the same issue with Listing 5279652784 Hiace Campervan (and experienced it on another listing a few days ago.
I would like to ask I have a similar van and I love it - reliable, easy to drive and lots of storage up top. Can you tell me where you got the awning from and who fitted/modified your toilet? Thanks Fay

Thanks, any ideas why I am not able to ask a question? I have tried on my mobile app and on my laptop. I I type in the question and when I try and send it I get a message "You are not able to use this function"

Are you able to email the Seller using the email Tab at the bottom of the Listing next to "Add to Favourite Sellers" - The Seller is Happy to help you out with your questions - Cheers.

But that still doesn't address the real problem and that is Why is TM blocking some potential buyers from asking questions

If you're still experiencing this problem in not being able to ask questions & none of the troubleshooting steps above have resolved this for you you're best to contact TradeMe staff direct with your unique example(s) enabling them to investigate what's going on with your unique account, as Michelle from TradeMe staff has advised. - Others who are commenting assistance here are Members just like you therefore we don't have access to your account to see what may be happening. - Ensure your account hasn't been in debt for more than 90 days. - Cheers.

TM contacted me direct and said there was some sort of 'block' on my account from when I was overseas??
They have removed the block so I should be able to ask questions now.1 -

Yes! that will do it if you try to access Buy, Sell & even Relist from another country outside of NZ & Australia.

Hi All
I thought I was talking to a TM staff member, Callum, my account is not in the red, when it does go in the red it;s only for a few hours.
I have not been overseas
I haven't been able to ask Q's for about 4 months, about same length of time that I haven't received any Q's
So who can tell me how I can actually contact someone about. I mean a person not just multi choice answers to my Q's

When you are in the chat bot, just type speak to a person. Note though that they might not be available today due to the public holiday

S Community SuperuserEditedKia Ora Pieter,It's S here not Callum,Yes! it can be very confusing I know However when a staff member comments you can identify them by their Badge Tag which will say "Trade Me Staff - Community Team" or whichever team they are from, like Michelle's comment above.To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" for assistance, If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once opened in a New conversation - Talk to person - and you are taken to entering a few details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff.The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmI've just been through to Live Chat with a staff member & confirm they will be there until 4:00pm today 25 April 2025 (Anzac Day) - Cheers.0
