Any else feel mislead by free selling period

I received notification from Trade Me advising of free selling on Sunday. I understood that it was for general items listed on Sunday and had a limit of 100 listings. Like a fool I resisted 134 auctions which meant I paid 10c for every listing above the 50 free listings and reduced the prices to reflect the fact there would be no selling fees. I figured that not everything would sell and I would have not come anywhere near 100 sales. I had an auction sell today and got charged a success fee. I contacted trade me and was informed that it did not apply to realists and it only applied to the first 100 listings and basically I should read the terms carefully. Well this is the last straw for me. I’ve been with them for a while and paid heaps for listing fees and to get that response from their customer service has dashed any faith in them. Yes I did read the terms and my understanding was it did apply to refunds and was for 100 listings not the first 100. Was anyone else caught out by this or does anyone else still have the notification for the free selling? I deleted it. I did ask them to send it to me but heard nothing back.

Here is the link. Not sure why they told you it doesn't apply to relists. It does. By that I mean if you list or (relisted) an item on Sunday no fees should apply if that item then sells.

This is within the email body which was sent out which does state available to Relists if they were relisted on the promotional day - Callum has provided the Link for the full Terms - This is for free Success Fee's - All other Listing Fees still apply like Ping payment method etc. - Cheers.

Therefore did the item you sold fall into the first 100 Listings, including Relists or after?

Hi Jenny, a friend of mine has been affected through the free selling day. When she rang me this morning, I told her to check her listings, in case Ping had been put on them, by Trade Me - without her knowledge or consent - as I had read, on Community Post, about that happening to somebody else.

My friend was horrified to find that exactly the same thing had happened to her, and that Ping had been put on most of her listings. I was able to guide her through how to fix that, by unticking the Ping box, but - as 2 of her listings now have bids on them - Ping is still on them. So I have advised her to go to Contact Us, to ask Trade Me to sort out those 2 listings for her. I wonder how many other people have also had Ping added, so that Ping fees could occur through what was a supposedly a free selling day!
