Wants a Full Refund and Return Dog

That's quite a strange one. Is it a working dog or a pet dog? Sometimes working dogs are sold as such, but it takes them a while to settle into their new home and actually work for their new owners.

It sounds as if you are a good dog owner and recognise that the dog may not be in the best of circumstances and great that you are willing to travel to pick it up. Perhaps suggest that if they bring the dog back you will refund, but if you have to travel to pick it up you will expect some recompense for petrol money. 

Hello Patricia. Sounds like you are being responsible there in agreeing to take the dog back. What is the reason for the return? If there was some problem you failed to mention or something in your description that wasn't correct then yes you definitely should take it back and offer a full refund. If the buyer just found it wasn't compatible with them for whatever reason you probably don't have an obligation to take it back. But like you say it would be sensible for the animals welfare.

Did the buyer collect it from you? If so I would think they should be returning it. Perhaps if you drive there to collect it instead you could refund the price they paid minus your fuel/travel costs to collect it.
