Kia Ora sarah,
Sorry to read that's happened,
- Have you placed Feedback on the Member yet? - This often gets a response.
- If you have messages enabled check if you can message them.
How have you contacted TradeMe for assistance? - Reach out using their Live Chat facility, a staff member should make contact with your Buyer on your behalf.
If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once opened - person - and you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Enter your Listing number in the Chat window enabling staff to pull it up readily. The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmAll the Best - Cheers.0 -

Ah this lesson is always best learned the hard way.
Sometimes though these all work out OK. The buyer has just forgotten to make the payment, or sent it through with an incorrect bank account number etc.
Have you tried contacting the buyer in other ways? You have an address so that's a good start. Do you know anyone in that town or city that can go and do a door knock? Have you searched for the buyer to get other ways to contact them? Social media etc. Is the value of the item worth pursuing through the Disputes Tribunal?
Trade Me are probably correct that they are pretty limited in what they can do here. They can urge the buyer to pay you, but can't get blood from a stone.

Couldn't agree more with Callum - NEVER send the goods before you receive payment.
Personally, I would put it down to experience, but sometimes persistent emails do get results. Good Luck. :)

If you haven’t already placed feedback, leave negative feedback politely stating that you are still awaiting payment for goods already received by the buyer. Also state that you will be happy to amend feedback if payment is subsequently received.
Sorry you got caught out on this trade. Many of us (myself included) have learnt this lesson the hard way.
