Seller disappeared after I paid
AnsweredI bought an item on the 7th of August. I emailed the seller asking for payment instructions and asking him to pack well and send me the tracking number after he posted it. He replied promptly and I paid straightaway. After 2 days, he emailed me saying he couldn't see the money in his account, therefore I rang my bank, I emailed him back that the money had definitely left my bank and asked him to check his bank. After that email, he never replies to my emails anymore. I suspected it's a scam and tried to contact Trade me, I don't know why but a message "No eligible or recent purchases" appeared after several clicks. What can I do?

Hello Mandy. I would open a dispute for this item. You can do that from your "Items I won" page. If you have been forced onto "new look" and the item or the dispute link isn't showing up for you you can contact Trade Me directly via Live Chat to resolve it.

Kia Ora Mandy,
The message "No eligible or recent purchases" appears for the initial 3 days after purchase before the Listing becomes eligible to file a dispute - it should come up with your Won item now given the timeframe since purchase - Cheers.

In all of the 5 auctions listed above: i.e. Ref #: P245979086; and P245979026; and PP245979021; and P245979011; and P245978164 I want the Seller to complete the process by allowing me to collect my goods that I bought and paid in full for in good faith, and by telling me where they have removed them to so that I can collect them. If this is not possible, then I want the Seller to provide me with replacement goods that can perform the same function as the goods that I purchased, and in a similar condition. If this is not possible then I want the seller to pay for similar goods to the ones that I purchased on auction, and make these available for me to collect in Auckland New Zealand. If this is not possible then I want the Seller to pay me the equivalent cash amount that the goods will cost me to import into New Zealand, including for all duties and taxes and shipping and delivery costs. NB this is likely to be in the vicinity of NZD 800K.

thisandthat3, you need to contact the seller and if the seller is not replying to you, file a dispute with Tradme by clicking in to the listings else and look for Dispute resolution or go the help page to do with Dispute resolution and fill in the details on the form. They may be able to help or spur the seller on to make contact if you are having trouble making contact. Obviously what you want to happen and what is legally required of the seller will vary based on if they are In Trade or not eg if the Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantees Acts apply.

Hello thisandthat3. You realise you are just talking to other Trade Me members here?
If you have a problem with any item(s) you have purchased the best way forward is to open a Dispute. You can do this from your won page.
Let us know how you get on.
