Jess, the person that used Buy Now ie the one that bought it on Trademe is the rightful buyer. First in first served. Congrats on the sale. Some people use an automatic bidding system which has a feature to automatically use Buy Now within a few seconds of it being added and the price is within the limit they have set.
Maybe the "small print" under the ask a question box should be made big print.
Quite a list there Valerie. I will answer a few things for you. Free listings(listing allowance before HVL fees apply). As a Store, you get a minimum of 150 free listings before you pay HVL fees. You only get free listings if you keep under 150 or under your allowance (based on sales as shown in your sales summary). If you list more than this you pay HVL fees on everything as you are listing more than your fee listings allowance. Needs attentionPresumably you are using My Products. If you get the Needs attention message and you go in to a product it will show you what Needs attention. It de...
I'm not TM, but, no Mike, sellers can not turn Q & A off, only Trademe can do that. They often do it if they are waiting for proof the seller has the goods, or proof the goods are genuine, or if the seller has repeatedly tried to bypass the auction with email or phone contact details posted. If you come across this, it's probably a good warning to take care. You can check by asking a Q on another sellers listing, as a double check it's not your own account that's restricted.
Yes, nationwide means Nationwide, not well almost nationwide except... this and that and the other, as if they are not actually in our fine nation. Nationwide: extending or reaching throughout a whole country or nation. Perhaps Nationwide should be renamed Most of mainland NZ, see exclusions for details.
Zhen. As has been mentioned, the dropshipping rules as defined for use on Trademe are quite clear and state "Drop shipping occurs when a seller provides goods for sale to a buyer without ownership or possession of the goods. As yours is an unusual requirement as is not the normal way things are done in 99.9% of cases, you will have to contact Trademe FIRST and ASK them if this is allowed on their site. They will advise you if it is ok, and what sort of account you can set up. Just use the Contact us form at the bottom of any page, or the specific link to contact them on the Dropshipping T &...
Along the same lines as this, why on earth do closed auctions change from Closed with date and time closed, to closing, with no date and time once 45 days are up? I was wanting to bid on something this morning and wanted to check the delivery time ie the time from closed until buyer placed negative feedback saying delivery took far too long, but couldn't as the listing says Closing. More recent items say closed. This is very unhelpful and it's also not correct. The auction closed, it is not closing.
Hi Hamish. Are you able to give us any guidelines on what the length of time we need to allow for action to be seen happening? Just so we don't overload the system needlessly. eg, if a seller is reported for obvious infringements of your T & C, how long should we wait after a first report before sending another report? and how long to wait after that before another one etc? I would have thought say first report, wait 2 weeks, 2nd report, wait another 1 week, wait another week and by that time, ie after 4 weeks, changes should be evident? or does it take longer than that to action. If no cha...
If the buyer refuses your offer of a full refund on return, then there is nothing more you can do. Not sure how they expect to be compensated, or what for, but I suggest you do not get in to any further discussion and leave it in their court. You have done the right thing, and it's now up to them to do the same. In the meantime, don't stress, forget about it. Under no circumstances should you agree to be bullied in to a full refund + let them keep the item + compensation. It's not the way things work.
Yes, you can adjust the refund amount via ping to be any amount equal to or less than the full amount. Quick and easy. Just click on the Payment details and Refunds link in your sold items page (desktop view) or if on the new site click in to the auction then click on the Refund button.
