Yes, it would be good to hear Trademe's reasoning behind this change as it makes no sense at all to me. Maybe they were getting inundated with requests via chat for questions to be removed or something. Very strange.
Trademe just goes on the bank code and BNZ and Co-Op bank both use 02. It will be fine.
Dale, the chat bot is only active IF there is someone available. If there is nobody home, it shows nothing.
The problem is not the file size but the compression ratio TM uses for photos, which seems to be around 19% compression, which is quite high, obviously to reduce file size so pages load quicker. I usually use 5% and when I upload an image of 3.3mb at 5%, TM re-compresses to 19%. I download that same image to compare to my original upload that was 5% and the file size has dropped from 206K to 146K. Best thing to do really is to adjust and compress to 19% before uploading, then TM doesn't re-compress. Not sure what 19% equates to with different cameras, but many have a fine, superfine, medium...
So where to next when reporting a seller for email address in their auctions that they list every week that I've reported at least 8 times stretching back from today to last year, and emailed you guys directly as well and used Live chat? I'm sort of after the number of times things should be reported before we give up and say, nothing is going to happen, rather than keep on doing it and wasting time. It's just rather annoying when competitors provide contact details to avoid the auction process, like one that lists auctions every day with their email address in them and currently has almos...
I have been told there is an email coming out this morning to all MP users about the new shipping templates. I have been told I have had my system reverted back to std temporarily but I will have to use the new system, I'm still working through changing everything to specify shipping cost rather than use templates anymore, but depends what this email is going to say. I have a feeling it's going to tell us that unless you use the new system your items won't be sortable for buyers in new filters coming out, but no doubt some spin will make that feature sound better for us.

Hi Lucy. Unfortunately there is nothing that spells out that only Titles are searched unless enclosing a search term in " ", in which case Descriptions are searched too. You may want the team to add to that buyers guide the other searches from the expired listings search page, as these don't seem to be anywhere in the new Help system. Search Tips: Use quotes " " to find an exact phrase, e.g. "Bob the Builder" Use an asterisk * to search a partial word, e.g. Tea cup* matches cup, cups and cupboard Use an uppercase OR between two search terms to find either one of the terms, e.g. Canon OR N...
Trademe are known to remove retaliatory feedback when asked. It happens so often, they even have a page of help specially for it, and a link to fill in a report to have it reviewed here. Best thing to do is request a fee refund, when that comes through, blacklist the member, place appropriate feedback, Offer to others or relist. If they have 38 negatives, that's already quite a few people that have already placed negative, so a few more might just tip the scales for Trademe to take permanent action. Don't forget to write to Trademe specifically to let them know your concerns about the trade...
Thanks Callum. Yes I was away from 2013 till 2018 so missed that brief trial. I remember their messaging via the app only trial and how problematic that was, although that was only in addition to emails being swapped and not in place of.
