It works for me. I dont get too antsy about it. TradeMe allows buyers to pay in a week so thats why I dont follow up until.then
Thanks Callum. I'll look at incorporating that step. I dont think I'll need the calendar reminder re changing the feedback as I normally place feedback after the fees have been refunded, so I'll just change it when that comes through.
Out of interest Callum, how often does the step of adding the feedback yeild a payment? Ive always been of the opinion that the negative feedback at the end has more impact as its negative. So curious to know if the step helps
This is my standard process. If no payment is received after a week, I send a follow up email. This sometimes gets the buyer to pay. If no payment or contact after another week I request my fee back via TradeMe. This sometimes gets the buyer to pay. If still no payment and th fee refunded, then I relist and place negative feedback. This also sometimes gets the buyer to pay.
Its always good to save a copy of your listing details and photos just in case there is a dispute relating to the sale too
You didnt say how long ago you brought it, but you do have a limited timeframe to do this. Have you gone back to them to state you want a full refund? Id do ths and if its well within the timeframe, Id wait until the next comms from them and go from there. If its close, Id lodge it now. Note that under the cga, refunds are only given under certain circumstances.
Wayne, click on the "all listings" button and you have options to select "listings with bids" and "unanswered questions" and a few others
What does the tracking show on them? And does it show the same?
The easiest way to solve this is to have the postage amounts listed in your auction, so they can include it in their ping payment. Depending on the size of the item, I have a local price, north island price and south island price - and then one of each for RD or non RD. This wont suit everyone/item, but its a good option to consider
Thanks for the info Callum. I will save that for future use. Very informative
