Absolutley nothing wrong with a buyer doing a bank deposit. It will also save you ping fees on the transaction. While TM do not put bank deposit in their payment options, it is of course still a very valid option than many buyers prefer. At the end of the day as the seller has specified ping in the listing, the seller can demand that, or cancel the trade, but why would you when payment by bank deposit is actually worth more than payment by ping as ping incurs fees. There is a large amount of buyers out there still wishing to pay by bank deposit
I very frequently have buyers purchace numerous items to ship to the same address. My issue is that some of my items are tiny (could get 50pc in a DLE bag,) and some items are the max size a courier can carry so have an automated combining is impossible for TM to calculate. So I state in my listing that we always combine shipping where possible and refund all excess shipping. I would literally refund $300-500 in shipping each week. Works very well and buyers see your honesty and then frequently place more orders
Its difficult. You as a seller are responsible to get the item to the buyer undamaged. It was damaged (for what ever reason) so you are responsible. With the claims process, that is between the Seller and the courier company ( the buyer is not involved), and the result of that does not affect your liability for broken product on arrival to the buyer. And yes, its unfortunate that the courier requires packaging photos for the claim, but buyer had already disposed of packaging. That however is not the buyer at fault as they did not know they had to do that. In future for breakable items, mayb...
OP. You are covered under the Contractual Mistakes Act 1977 where if a price is offered and that is a genuine error, you are not obliged to go through with the transaction
I can still use the post auction email to contact them
Michelle, I agree with S. Many traders have mentioned about this, I believe there is a site wide block on editing / deleting feedback after the 45 day mark. I dont believe it is limited only to a small number of listings in a small number of categories as you have suggested
shortsbrandy. The only payment options that can be listed on a listing are ping, afterpay or cash. That does not mean a trader cannot pay to a bank account. Since TMs changes, I have noticed a heap of traders now selecting cash and then paying to a bank account. This is clearly a preference for many buyers and they feel more comfortable with not using ping
A heads up to all traders who are top sellers. If an item is paid with ping, then this issue will not involve you. However if your item is paid to your bank account, and you have to do a partial success refund ( likely if you are combining shipping and have some shipping refund to buyer). then while TM will give you the partial success fee refund to your account, they will then remove the whole top seller discount from you( this maybe the topseller discount for all the trades combined in that combined shipping transaction). Check your TM account and you will see it happen. I recently had a ...
After TMs medling with the site and changing more and more to the new site it becomes harder and harder to delete or amend feedback you have placed. TMs policys say you can amend or delete feedback once. But that functionality is being lost. Once in the new site, there is no option to change feedback, only in the old site. And in the oldsite this can only be done when the sale is still in your won/ sold file. Once its gone from those files, if you access the feedback , its only on new site, so no ability to amend feedback. It also used to be the situation that if you accessed the feedback b...
Anybody else getting this message from TM but finding there is over a year of life on the card before it expires?
