Selected Ping, but want to pay cash

I selected to pay by Ping, but the seller has gave me the total cost including shipping and the bank account details, so I have paid by online banking. The sale still says "pay instantly" on Trade Me. How can I change the Ping payment details, or do I ask the seller to credit the purchase price back to my bank account and pay by ping please?

Callum Community SuperuserYes, you will have to ask the seller to return your payment so you can pay via Ping.

If you have paid to the bank account the seller supplied, there is no need to pay by ping. The goods are paid for and belong to the buyer, they just need to get the shipping completed now. It would be stupid to reverse the transaction just so you can pay another way unless you particularily wanted to do it via ping.

You're not covered by Buyer Protection making a Bank transfer / deposit should something go wrong with the Trade. - Buyer Protection only applies to Ping &/Or Afterpay payment methods made.
