shortsbandy. Cash is still acceptable, so yes the payment instructions are needed. While TM only allow cash/ ping or afterpay as the payment options to be listed in the payment options on the listing, for many buyers and sellers, bank transfer is a preferred option and that info can be transmitted in the payment instructions. Also, pickup information is also contained in the payment instructions. However in the long distant past, the full payment instructions were sent to the buyer in the TM purchase notification email. Then TM decided to "hide" the payment instructions as much as possible,...

I have found that on both my business accounts that the Ping Statement  when printed out for both Dec 25 and Jan 26 were exactly the same. The Dec statement was correct, the Jan 26 was incorrect. The jan statement Has Jan 2026 printed on it, but says it is generated on 1st Jan. I printed this out about 1st of 2nd Feb. It seems as though the system has now rectified itself. But this is just a heads up to all using those figures from 1st Feb print outs, they maybe wrong, so you need to check them.

So what happens where there is no suburb at all that the business is related to. It could be a nationwide online business with no physical location at all

  • toolwarehouse commented,

It is not the seller requesting the password, it is TM. You are paying TM, who then pass the payment on to the seller. TM ask you for your password to verify you are the legitimate person using the account

This Character limit also applies in feedback. If you any reason you need to write a long feedback, it lets you do so and then when its posted, the feedback is reduced to what ever character limit TM impose. So you now have a feedback with a load of text missing, and the whole context of the feedback is meaningless as only part of the feedback is showing. Admittedly, its not often I write a super long feedback, but TM need to fix this so the writer can only insert the amount of characters in the feedback that will be eventually displayed on the feedback.

I have found integration with TM and PTP useless. PTP have vast amounts of catagories that are banned from integrating with TM. Most of the catagories are not banned or restricted(as per their banned and restricted product lists) at all, just regular items. So you have to then manually load the data for the parcel instead of going through integration, so the "banned" category still gets shipped but with more effort. I have bought this issue of all these "banned" categories many times, they agree there is no proper reason for it, but continue to leave the banned categories. Very poor follow ...

In the old layout, if you wished to find a member by name, in the drop down menu at the right of the search bar, member was the last one on the list to select. Once selected, you typed the user name and searched , and it pulled up that members site. How do you do that on the new site? As ther is no longer a drop down menu

You will be able to assess if it is rural address by using this site https://www.addresscheck.co.nz/ . If they have  paid rural and they selected urban shipping, you can contact buyer and ask them either to supply an alternate urban address, or alternately to pay the extra rural fee required.  With the B scenario, trademe are not providing the courier service, merly providing the platform where buyer and seller interact and so would not be liable for one of the suppliers not being available at a particular time. Your option here is to wait until the cheaper supplier is back supplying bookin...

It is likely to be one of two things. A/ The address with the courier it is going with is zoned rural, but they have selected urban option, (different courier brands have different rural zoning) B/ Or that it was priced with one of the couriers on Book a courier, but at the time of booking, that courier was not available, so it reverted to the other courier brand which is more expensive. both are comman issues on TM
