How to find other members by name in new layout
AnsweredIn the old layout, if you wished to find a member by name, in the drop down menu at the right of the search bar, member was the last one on the list to select. Once selected, you typed the user name and searched , and it pulled up that members site. How do you do that on the new site? As ther is no longer a drop down menu

The search for members is not on the new system search so the only way is via the old recently updated profiles page that has a search box. www.trademe.co.nz/Community/MemberProfiles.aspx
Most people should know though to put their membername in some of their listings titles to make sure people unfamiliar with the profiles page can find them easy if they simply put their name in the general search box.
Another omission is the option on the Browse link to view the Category directory. This is especially handy for finding what category to list in when the auto complete doesn't suggest the right ones. It also shows numbers listed in categories and sub categories so is invaluable for checking listing data when categories change. www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Categories.aspx?show_all=true

Ooh, nice to see a post showing straight away. I still have one showing pending from 21 hours ago and another pending one this morning on another post. Had one pending for over 2 days earlier in the week.

Yes, there was extra space in there when I copy and pasted, so have fixed that up. Yes, I get those 409 errors all the time so just walk away and do something else.
