You must now have shipping costs stated to get google shopping visibility.
I'm sure most professional sellers already have shipping costs on their auctions. They probably got the email from Trade Me as well.
But I've found that casual sellers items do also show up on google shopping. So it's a good reminder to everyone that if you want your items to get the increased advertising that Google offers you need to have shipping costs added. I've seen a few posts lately from people saying they don't, can't, won't add shipping costs. Here is another reason why you should.

Thanks for sharing this tip to get more listing visibility Callum. It's great to know that casual sellers listings show up on Google shopping too!

Yes, its king of annoying. While all my courier stuff has TM shipping templates attached to them, I have some larger item which have to go on freight. My freight company quotes per job location( and dont produce a set of rates) so its not possible to quote as per TM shipping templates as there are many hundreds of different prices for NZ. King of between a rock and a hard spot. While I offer shipping options to main cities , business zone delivery, all other locations need to be custom quoted

Yes Don, that is a known issue unfortunately. There are a couple of options. Set a rate that's middle of the road and understand that you might lose on some, gain on others. Or you can set a rate higher than you think it will be and explain in the listing that you will refund if it less. As you know you can set different rates for each Island and for Rural Delivery. So at least that gives you some flexibility to get rates closer to reality.
