S Community SuperuserEditedKia Ora Wettenhall,You go through 'My TradeMe' -> Manage Ping -> Transfer out - to set the bank account to transfer out to up. TM will put .01cent into your chosen bank account with a code - TM Trust & Safety will then email you for this code so they are assured the account is correct, await that email once you've set up the Transfer out to account, reply with the code in your Bank statement next to the 0.1cent which verifies to TM they have the correct Bank account for your Ping deposits. You can set up Automatic or Manual transfers out - Refer to Ping account for further info' - Cheers.1

It's not that, it's that my NZ bank account won't bind ping, it won't bind

Have you gone through and done the verification step with TradeMe Trust & Safety already Wettenhall ?
This is a separate setting to how you purchase by Ping.

I'm not sure what you mean by bind Ping?
When you enter your bank account number to Transfer out to this needs to be the Bank account number - Not the card number or the number used to Pay by Ping.
You need to enter the Transfer to account number - Not the Transfer from account number.
If you are entering in the Bank account number you want to Transfer To check if the Suffix (end number) has 2 or 3 digits in it which represents the account type - most Bank account numbers require an extra 0 in the Suffix field. - If you are missing a 3rd digit and the end 2 digits have the account come back as Invalid you can check this number with your bank.

At this stage your Ping number is not required to be entered anywhere - the Transfer Out account is your NZ Bank account number you want the Ping payments in TradeMe to go to - Only your Bank account number is required.
The table below shows how the Bank account number Suffix works.
Example
If you only have a Suffix of 2 digits which is coming up Invalid it may be looking for the 3rd digit of 0 as above - Cheers.
