Goods ended up being faulty
AnsweredI purchased a second hand hot tub around Easter. I don't think the sellers intentionally mis represented the Hot Tubs condition but after multiple attempts to get the pump working to heat the water and trying to stop leaks we are wondering what is the best way to proceed as it is now August. Is it too late to contact the seller and if we do what is appropriate to ask for? Not after a full refund but maybe a partial refund to help with paying for a professional to come and fix the Hot tub?

Private sales are caveat emptor (aside from misrepresentation), and as far as the seller is concerned anything could have happened in 4 months.
In short, forget about it.

There's no harm in contacting the seller about this - they may have some advice on how to get it working or make a suggestion about repair that could be helpful. If the hot tub is in the condition that was described, they won't be obliged to make any contribution but you do have the option to reach out.

Hi, I bought a second hand iPhone on trademe ,you can check the auction , nowhere does it say the phone has A broken screen ,,, but it has .
It was warped in its original box, and boxed well outside of that , it didn’t get broken with courier, he has sent this ,in a broken state,
this auction started with crapy communication from him, then he finally makes contact and says he will complete the sale .
pits turned up, but it’s broken .
im not happy ,
ive changed the crap feedback I gave him to good feedback ,but that was before I had a chance to check it , now I go to plug it in and it’s got a smashed screen , I want my money back and please edit this feedback to 100 percent not happy
