Waiting for a Refund after returning an item

Hi, I'm still wanting a refund I sent back the item I purchased brother colour label printer and as soon as it arrived I used it to print labels out and a line ran straight down the middle of the label. I contacted the seller straight away told her I was not happy as in her discreption it said excellent condition. I emailed a photo of printed label so she could see it herself. I told her I wanted a refund and I boxed it up and arranged a courier nz post to pick up label printer and had it couriered back to her at her address. I filed a dispute with trade me about seller and her item sold to me over a week ago. Im still waiting for refund

Hi Catherine. A few things to check.

Before you sent it back, did the seller accept that they would refund you and give you a timeline of when this would happen and how much?

Have you done a track online to see when the printer was received back by the seller?

Have you supplied bank details to the seller for a refund, if you paid by internet banking? or if you paid with Ping, have you confirmed with them that's how you would like the refund?

What does the seller say since they have received the printer back?

Filing a dispute with Trademe is usually the last option if you have not been able to resolve things wither the seller directly, but only you know how long this has been dragging on for and what stage it's at. Disputes can take a long time to get resolved with Trademe.

There has been a discussion in a previous post below, with some idea about how long things take with a Ping/Afterpay refund via the dispute process for when communication directly with the seller has broken down.
