Buyer has received goods but has not paid
AnsweredWhat to do ? I was going to be out of the country so I posted the goods so as not to hold up the trade. Other than automated address instructions I have had zero communication from the buyer despite sending around 6 emails, advising of postage cost and tracking number, then following up with my bank details and then polite emails reminding them about payment.
Zilch. Whilst not a large value, it is the prinicipal. I have applied for a success fee refund and ticked the Trade me to contact buyer.
I have yet to post feedback as still in hope. Trade was 3rd Feb and NZ post tracking said that goods were delivered 16th Feb.
What to do and can trade me help? It is too low value for disputes tribunal - given there is an application fee which I am unsure of.

Yes, the $40 for DT might not be worthwhile money wise. I would place feedback now (as you only have 45 days to do so but you can edit once at any time in the future) in case the buyer has not been getting your emails. I would place something like this, blue face, Hi, I see this was delivered to you 16th Feb. I've not received payment or replies to any emails I have sent you? Please check emails and reply to me so we can get this all sorted. Thanks
I would at the same time, let Trademe know the situation and they may be able to give the buyer a prod.

Hi, i'm in the same boat. My partner posted an item before the buyer had paid. She has tried to put the $ into my account but keeps using the wrong suffix, 4 times. Now she is ignoring me.ive put bad feeback and asked for a refund, but how do i contact trademe to get her to pay?

Hi M - I had to go through the help bot and then finally got a real person. All Trade me could do was try and contact the buyer - they couldn't make contact so that was that unfortunately. All trade me can do is refund the success fee. I have now blacklisted that trader and learnt my lesson!

I posted to the buyer before I was paid, as the item sold for $20.00 and the postage was $2.30.
Before I posted item I had i email from the buyer and then no contact at all, i have sent several emails but no reply. Its just not worth taking it further. But it's a pity that trademe can't do more....like removing people that do this. Ive left a bad feedback. And asked the buyer to return the item. And I only allow bids from Authenticated buyers.0 -

Kia Ora All,
This type of behaviour earns a note placed on Members accounts, should there be a continued pattern of like behaviour restrictions can be placed on Members accounts However the key is to learn the Golden Rule - Never send items prior to securing payment regardless! - Cheers.
