Did Buy Now but now I can't honour the purchase

You can use the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page, although you don't have to inform Trademe of the problem. The seller will when they apply for a refund of the success fees they have paid Trademe when you won the auction. Trademe may also email you at that time about the fee refund and you can reply quickly to that email so the seller get's their refund quickly.

TM may email you to confirm the trade won't be going ahead so they can refund the success fee to the seller. They give you 3 days to respond. If you don't respond they may put a mark beside your account. They actually used to place a blue Kiwi feedback on both seller and buyer if the trade was not completed, but they stopped doing that a while back for some reason.
Sometimes they email you, sometimes they don't. There are several variables involved including the number of times the seller has applied for a refund, what option the seller has selected when they apply for the refund etc etc.

Sorry to read there has been a mistake in purchasing there,
The Best thing to do is contact your Seller and explain what's happened. - If you purchased by Ping you can ask the Seller to refund 1 purchase, this should auto repay the 1 success fee charged back to your Seller. - If you haven't paid yet your Seller will be understanding and can adjust their stock level accordingly and apply for 1 of the success fee's refunded. - If you need the shipping cost for the 1 guitar ask your Seller for the new cost when you contact them to apologise and explain the situation. - Cheers.

Brian, not everyone is online 24/7, especially if they are a business. Best just wait till Monday at least to give them time to reply. Most people will be understanding of a genuine mistake and apology. You may want to have a good look at the listing you bought, as although the seller can apply to Trademe for a success fee refund, if the seller has paid for promotions, they can't get that money back. An offer from you to cover any fees due to your mistake would be welcomed, I'm sure, and possibly make the seller a bit more understanding.
