Buyer not responding
AnsweredI recently sold an item and the buyer was to arrange to pick up, and pay at the same time. I contacted them straight away to arrange a day and time, it took 5 days for them to come bac to me telling me they were in hospital and will make contact when they are out. 12 days later still no contact and I followed up again this time asking them to let me know by tomorrow if they still wish to buy the item and if not to let me know so I can re-list. Am I within my rights to re-list if they don't come back to me. I have had a look at their profile and people have been providing positive feedback very recently so looks like they are actively buying even though they are not responding to my emails.

Pauline, best thing to do is to apply for your success fee refund. This triggers an email to the buyer from Trademe to confirm if they are going to honour their obligations or not. If Trademe don't get a reply in 3 days or the buyer replies to them they won't complete, Trademe email you and confirm they have processed your fee refund. Then's the time to relist.

HI Pauline. Sounds like you have already given them a final email ultimatum and clearly set out a timeframe for when you expect the trade to be completed. Therefore yes, you are within your rights to relist if they don't come back to you if that time passes. Don't forget to claim your fees back from Trade Me for the failed trade.

I might be going mad(der) but I can't find a link to apply for a fee refund on my sold products! Does anybody else have the same problem? Cheers
