Seller wants payment for an item before giving pickup address
AnsweredI won the bid for an item but the person wants me to deposit the money into their bank account and they'll give me the address to pick it up.

If they had cash as a payment option so you could pay cash on pickup, then remind them of that and ask again for their address and say you would prefer to pay cash on pickup as per the auction payment options. If they didn't have cash as an accepted payment option, then it is quite common for people to withold their address until someone has paid. When I used to allow pickups and gave my address out before payment I often had people turn up unannounced and expect to pay in cash although I didn't have cash as an option. Was a right pain. If I do have the odd thing now that is best picked up, I usually only give my address after payment to reduce the number of buyers that want to change T & C to suit themselves after the auction. It depends on the buyer though as the ones that email saying they have paid and when/where can they collect, I of course give them pickup address.
You can always do a bit of online sleuthing to get their address so you can at least plan your pickup trip. When buying, I often have 2 or 3 purchases to pickup in the one trip so knowing address early helps a great deal. I loath the ones that say they will text me address when I text to tell them I am 10 mins away. How do I know when I am 10 mins away if I don't have their address? It's not legal to send or reply to texts while driving either, so it means stopping to send a text, then waiting stopped for a reply.

Kia Ora Kyle,
I understand the hesitancy to pay before an address is supplied However looking from a Seller's standpoint there are bogus Bidders who have dishonest intentions in scoping address's for goods and perhaps your Seller has experienced some ill toward actions in the past. - Paying upfront is the same you would do before a Seller couriered the item out to you therefore not too dis-similar for Buyers. - Your Seller's Feedback page should put you at ease here. - Definitely if the Listing allowed for cash on Pick up you can hold them to that, as Gary has advised.
Congratulations on your Purchase - Cheers 😊
