Classified vehicle listing - automatically withdrawn after "Make an offer" offer is accepted?
Evening
Why was my classified vehicle listing automatically withdrawn by Trademe after I accepted an offer? The whole point of classified listings is to be able to leave them up until such time as the vehicle is officially sold and payment has been received (like it says here: https://www.trademe.co.nz/c/motors/article/what-is-a-classified-car-listing ). It's the only way to weed out the time wasting numpties that would otherwise bid/buy now vehicles and not follow through on the trade.
Also, why is the item now listed as "Unsold"? Why are there no options to relist, dispute resolution, listing fee refund or placing feedback?
It seems a bit silly.

I can't answer your question re a classified being withdrawn automatically by Trademe as that sounds very strange and not the usual way things happen, but I can answer a couple of your other questions. Classifieds don't have a refund of a listing fee as the item is not normally withdrawn until the sale is completely finalised. Feedback is never able to be placed on any classified and has always been this way. Pretty sure Dispute resolution is only for auctions as classified sales are completed off site.
You might be best to contact Trademe and ask them what's going on.

Kia Ora Kuljeet,
With using the 'Make an Offer' feature, if the offer is accepted the listing closes and payment instructions are sent as per usual.
Classified Listings are like running an ad in the Newspaper - they are a deal between the Seller & Buyer independent of TM therefore TM have no retained record of the purchase/sale - as a result there is no relist, dispute resolution, listing fee refund or feedback.
If this sale has fallen through you may like to contact TM staff for assistance with refunding your initial listing fee enabling you the finance to relist the vehicle.

Well I've reached out to TM, first they said to wait 2 days for the buyer to make contact (no contact was made), I've asked them to refund the listing fee but instead they've just told me I should be able to relist the vehicle for free (I can't).
What a pain. It would appear TM doesn't even know how their own system works.
On a side note, does TM actually reply to the customersupport@trademe.co.nz email address? I sent a message through the site via the Help message system, got a reply from TM through that, replied back via email and never heard back.
