Trade Me IT expert seller
Hi,
I am a professional seller and have a store on Trade Me. I am handling all the work related to creating listings via 'my products' but sales are down, and now I am thinking to hire some professional to handle the Trade Me store. I want opinions from professional and business sellers; do you run your Trade Me store by yourself, or you have the expertise of IT specialist?
Cheers

I don't have a store on here but I run my business myself via My Products.
There are companies who will manage things for you to varying degrees. It depends if you just want help with listing or you want to go completely hands off and have warehousing, logistics and dispatch provided as well. Trade Me itself has it's own warehousing and fulfillment system that they launched a couple years ago. From what I have seen the fees are pretty eye watering for these type of things, but you might have your own idea on what costs you can absorb and still be profitable.
There are some to have a look at on the Trade Me help pages. https://www.trademe.co.nz/c/marketplace/article/thirdpartytools

I'm like Callum. I do everything myself, listing, packing, despatch, accounts, website, etc etc. My wife used to work at it as well, but now it's just me. I have had a TM store before, but not these days. I remember hearing about Trademe's fulfillment service and talking to them about it at the time but can't find anything on here about it. The link in the original email about it goes to a 404 page, so might be worth contacting them and asking about it.

Thank you all for the valuable information. Just wondering, how do you make listing description bold? Is there any feature for that in 'My Products?
What is the proper way to change shipping template? Does it make difference going from 'Fres Shipping' to proper shipping template?0 -

Danny, See this thread for an example of the Trademe Markdown language subset they use for formatting..
TradeMe docs on formatting listing text? – Help - Trade Me
As far as shipping templates go, there is no proper way to do it, you basically just use the options on the template setup that suit your options. If you want to specify a carrier you can choose that in the options, but the carrier is not shown to buyers, just the price and service. If you don't know the carrier to use until you have the buyers complete order and address you can choose Other, then select an option that suits. Remember that your processing time in the setup is added to the carrier delivery target, so a 2-3 day service + 1 processing day = 3-4 days is shown to buyers.
Freeshipping is a bit of a strange one at the moment, as the free shipping search filter does not pickup free shipping if it's part of a shipping template with other options, but the freeshipping icon still appears on listings in search results. This can be quite confusing and what is shown to buyers in search results depends on how they have entered their delivery address in to their My Trademe page. All meant to enhance buyer experience, but is all very misleading. If I see something that has the Trademe Free shipping icon, I expect it to be free shipping, not well, it might be, depending on how you have entered your address and what your address actually is.

Thanks Gary-NZStocked.
That was really helpful, now I can use the features of bold and italic.
Regarding shipping, I want my shipping template to look like in the image below but I somehow, I cannot make my shipping template look like that. Any suggestions please?

If you create a new shipping template like this.
It will look like this in a search
The Auckland in the free shipping line changes based on the buyers location, although in the example you give it says Nationwide, but that seller is using something like the API or Tradevine to do their listings so it may be different.
