"Notes" disappear on expired listing
Hi All, I have a few properties on my watchlist. I place a note on all of them before they expire, with information such as address etc. (Desktop Website).
When some of these listings are withdrawn by the seller, SOMETIMES the notes remain on the expired/withdrawn listing but OTHER TIMES the notes are no longer there. This is annoying.
Is this a TradeMe bug, or do people listing properties have the ability to remove notes when a listing is withdrawn?

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserHave you checked Ben that the difference isn't that some may have just finished rather than being withdrawn? Usually ones that expire/finish will still have notes, but withdrawn ones won't. Maybe if you need to keep the notes, it might pay to screenshot them each time.

Hi Gary - all listing in my "Items Lost" are described as "Withdrawn by Seller". Some have the original notes and some don't. Which suggests there is no trend that i can see based on how the listing closed.
Do appreciate your suggestion to screenshot the notes and listing, or simply record the notes elsewhere, such as a spreadsheet.0 -

Right oh Ben, must be a bug then. Not sure what your notes are like, but I get a lot of emails from Trademe that have most of the subject line cut off due to commas in the title of the listing. Might be worth making sure to avoid commas and any special chars when making notes as this (long shot) could be breaking the notes.

This problem has been there for a very long time, and it's quite annoying.
It might be worth reporting it to Trade Me, but it's very hit and miss whether they will do anything about it. I've personally given up reporting bugs, as there are now so many of them, and Trade Me don't seem to have the resources these days to do anything other than to fight the most urgent fires.
