After the Trade Me disputes process and the seller still does not refund
AnsweredHi,
I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction here:
I purchased the item - it did not meet its specifications
after getting nowhere and with the seller I went to Disputes
Trade Me sided with me and told me to return the goods to the seller for a refund
I returned the goods. Now 20 days later the seller has still not refunded and I cant seem to reach Buyer Protection as its past the 30 day period.
How do I get hold of someone in Trade Me to get this sorted or does Trade Me think this level of honesty is OK?

Kia Ora David,
If your initial dispute report is filed within the first 30 days of the listing closing you are still covered as thisis not yet resolved - it is not a new issue you are raising but the same!
The question is: Why has the Seller not yet refunded you?
- Did you return the item in a saleable condition?
- In it's original packaging?
- And with any instructions which may have come with the item?
If you have ensured the item is returned in a saleable condition you can reopen your original Dispute resolution report with TradeMe - Ensure you use the report Service Request Ticket number which will be in that report. - You can also contact TM staff for assistance through their "Live Chat" facility using the SR ticket number so the staff can find your case easily.
All the Best - Cheers.

After sending numerous emails trying to be refunded for an item ($230) i purchased 4 months ago - which was picked up by the seller from my property , I then contacted TM for support with this , twice now i have emailed customer support to ask where this is at, i receive this from the trade me customer support" I’m sorry your trade hasn’t been sorted yet – you may have missed the last email we sent you asking if the seller had resolved the trade. Because we didn’t hear back, we assumed that everything was sorted and wrapped things up on our end".I Have never received any of these emails from trade me (x2) .I think that letting a seller that defrauds a buyer on trade me to continue trading after taking the goods back promising a refund and now blacklisting me is absolutely appalling. Is there a manager at trade me of the customer support i can speak with how do i escalate this?1

Kia Ora Glen,
I'm Sorry to read that has happened to you,
Yes! 4 months on is Appalling! - We are hearing a run of Disputes which haven't been resolved including one's which have been closed on Members unbeknown to them until they enquire further months on.
You can contact a TradeMe staff member through "Live Chat" to request a Manager to escalate this too Or reply to your last email with same request - TradeMe no longer have a direct phone line we can use. - Live Chat is faster in being a person to person Chat session there & then rather than waiting day(s) for an email response.
If you select the Contact us Link at the bottom of any TM page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen, there may be a slight delay in this appearing.Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once the Chat icon is selected - Talk to person - you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff.The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 9:30:am - 5:00pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmTrade Me site terms and conditions – Help - Trade Me
Clause 8.2 Disputes with us or our service
Another case which had their Dispute closed twice in error for your reference Product Faulty -- Trade Me Protection is no protection – Help - Trade Me
All the Best - Cheers.
