Do disabled members still get feedback emails or can they still see their feedback?
I would normally email Trademe to ask this Q but thought if it's posted here it might be handy for others to know.
I bought something last week from a new member and paid by internet banking. Seller emailed back saying they would courier Friday. I emailed them Sunday asking for tracking number. Today I was checking my won items page and noticed they had -1 beside their name so clicked to see what was going on of course it just gave me the account disabled message.
I placed positive feedback asking for tracking info and mentioned I had not had replies to emails and could they get back to me. Now I had placed feedback I could see their other feedback, which was a negative for not following through when buying.
Am I wasting my time thinking they would get notification of the feedback I placed and maybe reply to me? or can they see their own feedback even though their account is disabled? or have I just lost my money, again.

Good question. I would think that once an account is closed that's it. All emails and notifications are stopped. I mean if you closed it yourself the last thing you would want is to get is more emails from them. Doubt they could see their own feedback either. They would have to log in for that. Which they wouldn't be able to do?
Although I have had a disabled person in the past email me begging to change a negative feedback. Because Trade Me told them that if they could get a certain amount of negatives removed or changed they would allow them to have their account back. That would suggest they maybe can still see their feedback.

Yes, would be good to know. Looks like I'll have to email Trademe and ask them. Looks like this one might be the 4th item in 8 weeks I've paid for and not received. Disputes process for the previous 3 got nowhere plus I got the run around after getting lumped with 4 negative retaliatory feedbacks. Oh well, that seems to be the norm these days.

Hi Gary, sorry to hear about the hassles with the trade there - I've confirmed the member wouldn't receive any emails notifying them of feedback once their account has been closed, so a Dispute report would be the next best step.
