AirPods postage option
AnsweredHave recently sold AirPods, however have hit a snag with shipping options. NZ Post & many other couriers have come back saying they are unable to ship due to them being considered dangerous goods. Has anyone shipped AirPods or electronics to same degree successfully?

Hi there, if the courier company says they can't send them then that must be the case, but I hadn't heard of Airpods being classed as dangerous goods - did they give any reasoning why? Just looking at NZPost's Restricted Items list, I can't spot why Airpods would be restricted

Thanks Hamish, I was told by my local NZ Post that they cannot ship item due to the Lithium-ion batteries in the product. Looking through the provided link, they allow a " maximum of two Lithium-ion batteries per parcel" and apparently AirPods exceed this limit due to charging case.

Ah right, that does add up - although it seems like a bit of a hassle, you should be able to send the airpods and case in separate packages
