Posting a question shows error message: :"You are unable to use this feature"
AnsweredHas anybody seen this before? Is it caused by my account or is it because the seller recently joined TradeMe?

Not sure if it's on your account or the new seller. Feel free to ask a Q on one of mine or another known seller to confirm if it's a restriction on your account, or not. The message does say You are unable, rather than The seller is unable, so that might be a clue.... or not.

Thanks, could you please link to one of your listings. I am not sure how to find your listing based on your username.

I put my TM membername in my posting name, ie nzstocked but here's a listing to ask on.

I just tried to ask a question on a listing but got the error message "You are unable to use this feature." The seller has been a member since 2010 and has 99.8% positive feedback so nothing to be wary of that I can see. How do I contact Trade Me to ask why I can't ask a question? When I tried using the form, I get a link to their help information pages. A link on the help page "contact us" goes back to the form so it goes around in circles! I will ask about this on the relevant topic.

The usual reasons your account might be restricted like this is you might have given your contact details or asked a seller for theirs by Q & A previously.
As far as contacting Trademe, if you use the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page, select a topic and if your question isn't answered there, on the last dropdown select OTHER. You will then get a form to write an email in and ability to add attachments if reqd.

I have not given my contact details or asked a seller for theirs by Q & A previously. If I am wrong, please give details of this. I believe a mistake has been made by Trade Me in this case. (I hope my account wasn't hacked to do this). Would you please review the restriction on my account?

Hi Paul. You'll need to email Trademe and ask them to explain and review your account. I'm just a regular member like you and these pages are for members to discuss things, not to communicate with Trademe, although they do occasionally pop in for comment.

Hi I've just come across this, I was able to let the seller know as they are a trader and also have a Facebook page, they were very receptive and helpful to my question on Facebook and are not sure why people can't access the questions on their listings and wondered if trademe had done it.they have great feedback etc

Kia Ora Helen,
That is a concern and good on you tracing the Seller so you could advise them,
Are you able to ask questions on other Members Listings? & Have you tried through using the Desktop site &/Or one of the Apps? - Are you able to try asking questions through both?
