Trying to register with an Australian phone number
AnsweredThe verification process wont accept my phone number, yes, I am in Australia, but everythnig I've tried wont accept my mobile phone number..

Just invent a number. I believe Trade Me even tell people to do this. It's known that not many have landlines now, yet they still ask for one. Or did when I last went through and tried to open an account.
Make sure it's not some poor person's real phone number though. So "00000000000" or whatever it takes to be accepted. I guess it could be slightly different in what the system triggers when you apply for an account from Australia.

Hi Malcolm, you should be able to add your number using the '+61' prefix, and pop the rest of your number in the box to the right, shown in the screenshot below. If that's not working for you, you can try using a different number to register then fix it up once your account is up and running.
If you still aren't having any luck, get in touch with our Customer Experience team.

Entry accepts my landline (it is actually a VOIP line) with the +61. However, it does not show a correct choice (+61) for my mobile. +61 does not appear, there is +614 or +615, and they are the only "+" prefixes shown. If the entry was able to be entered manually.

PS I was a long time member prior to 2006 when I lived in Christchurch.
