Optimum image size

Hi Danie, photos need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side and the file size under 5MB. I'm unsure of the optimum image size but can see if I can find that out.

Trademe adjusts the size to fit std display pages, but if a buyer wanted to view biggest photos on Trademe, they could use their browsers Full Screen mode, in which case, the maximum size photo they can view on Trademe will be dependent on their screen size. In full screen mode the max size I can view Real Estate is 1900 x 800, so there would be no point going bigger than that for me.

Currently, global screen sizes people use are dropping as more people go to mobile devices. In 2020 40% of people browsed with screens 1366×768 and 1920×1080. In the last year to Jan 2022, only 17% use those sizes and there are no larger sizes listed in the stats.

The magnifying feature seems to have been removed, unfortunately. Many photos would appear blurry now being squeezed into the relatively small viewable screen area.
