Hi Fiona, to create a Flatmates wanted classified listing, click here and go to ‘Start a listing’ in the top right hand corner, then select ‘Flatmates wanted’ on the next page.
At this point you will be redirected to the classic site, and you can follow the listing process from there. Once you’ve filled out the details and added photos, make sure you click the ‘Start my classified’ button at the bottom of the Confirm page.0 -
How to edit listing? I have tried property app, trademe app, and the desktop and none of them allow me to edit my flatmate listing.

If the Edit button is not there, or sections are greyed out, then you are unable to edit the listing. This is often the case with classifieds. When it finishes, you can edit it as you relist though.

Hi there, have hit a brick wall with listing a flatmate wanted ad.. After putting all the relevant details in when I push NEXT to go to the next stage which is photos a Banana error page comes up.. I’ve tried many things, changing to desktop site, uninstalling Trade me on my computer then reinstalling but no luck. Any ideas?

Kia Ora Ben,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble there,
These Banana errors are not very helpful in directing one to where the problem is!
I am on the Desktop site using the MS Edge Browser in Windows 10 and have no issue progressing through to the Extras page & Confirm page - Pic 1 & 2 Below.
What you can check:
- Ensure your account has the funds to cover the Listing fee
- Ensure you are running the latest Browser version for your device
- Clear your Cookies & Cache then reconnect to TM with a fresh start
- Try accessing the listing through an alternative Browser

Kia Ora Kay,
Please select the cog wheel at the top right corner of your comment to remove your contact email address - Personal contact info' is prohibited from being displayed in this public forum and you have also left yourself vulnerable to scammers who scan for this kind of information.
Flatmate listings can only be edited within the first seven days of starting the listing after which time you will need to withdraw the listing to make your changes before relisting it - Edits can only be made via the Desktop site - the Apps don't yet have full features of the Desktop site. - Cheers
