Why are non rural addresses coming up with RD shipping charges??
This has happened twice, where clearly non rural delivery addresses are being charged at RD prices ONLY with Aramex, so i am forced to pay the higher Courierpost shipping...... is this being done on prupose?

Remember each courier has their own standard coverage area and anything outside that is classed as rural, even though it doesn't look rural. If you are sure it's not rural for that courier and you have checked on the Aramex address check page, then email them and ask them why.

Use the Address checker to check,
https://www.addresscheck.co.nz/
some urban addresses are Rural with other carriers like Aramex as outside their delivery Zones, this is why I like flexibility in my Shipping options, because I can just go and use NZ Post, Hence I do not want to state on my auctions what carrier I use, my shipping rates are set on an average between the Book a Courier Couriers,
so using the more costly NZ post is already covered,

Also have a look at using Pass the Parcel in this situation. You can either use their courier bags or print your own label. Sometimes they are cheaper than Aramex or NZPost Courier. I am in the North Island and sometimes I find those small South Island towns are more expensive with Aramex than NZPost Courier.

I realise that there are variances of course, this is absolutely not A rural delivery address, it is central Palmerston North

There is inconsistencies with the addressing databases. Unfortunately TradeMe and some courier companies don't keep upto date with the latest address finder checker database.

And yet again Aramex i feel sorry for the seller as i will not do anymore business with them while they use this courier.

This is why I ask the seller what carrier they use. If its aramex, I avoid that auction.

This is happening here in Leeston, Canterbury, too. My address is non-rural with NZ Post (ordinary and courier), but rural, and much dearer & slower with Aramex,
