Shipping rate per item or Shipping rate per order
TM's wisdom the add the 2 new Options in the shipping is a nightmare.
Either you select Shipping rate per item or Shipping rate per order.
Shipping rate per item means, if this is what I have selected, you buy 10 widgets from me you will be charged 10 x freight costs.
Shipping rate per order, is OK EXCEPT on my Auctions and probably yours under Shipping & Pick Up Options is a new automatic option: Shipping more than one item No extra charge.
I believe by having this on my auction and asking a purchaser to pay more freight as they have ordered perhaps 5 of the item, which makes it well in excess of the freight allowance, I have just breached the Consumer Guarantees Act. I would like this taken off my auctions. Others thoughts please

As both of these options were designed for and introduced specifically for Buy Now only MQLs many years ago with My Products it's up to you to choose what suits your listings and only offer what you want.
I would never buy multiples if Shipping rate is per item, unless I had asked the seller a question first to confirm freight for x units and that they would refund me the difference.
Or, you could add a statement in your listings in a common footer saying you will refund any difference in freight, but much easier to choose shipping per order. If you overcharge on shipping and have to refund, you might also want to ask for a fee refund on the refunded amount, but that's more time too.

Hi Gary,
Most people don't even read the first line of your auction let alone a footer. I'd just like TM to take it out completely. I was never needed before and not needed now. Its miss leading

Agreed, nothing wrong with the way it was, the new options have wasted plenty of our time trying to sort them out and answering many questions from Buyers regarding prices and time frames now, we selected 1-2 days but for some reason 2-3 days keeps showing on our auction... It wasn't broken so why fix it TM??

Hi Brendon. Allowing buyers see estimated delivery times for an item in the search results wasn't possible before. You can check out this post which has a lot of info about the new templates.
