Finding an old auction
AnsweredHi, I have found feedback on an auction I won in 2006, but no access to the auction or number anymore. Was there a month or so ago, but has since disappeared. I do need that number, anyone know how to access it now?

The usual shortcut is to go https://www.trademe.co.nz/79670776 for example. I sold that one 1st Dec 2006 and that is still visible. Another from 2004 https://www.trademe.co.nz/19899125 Of course you can't see photo, bidder or bid history, but you can see the text. Usually all other info goes after 45 days, other than in your emails.
I tried a 2004 purchase https://www.trademe.co.nz/14382337 and can see that one too, although it seems to be stuck on closing....lol

If the listing was withdrawn or removed, then you won't be able to find it. It depends how much you know about the listing or if you had it on your watchlist or bid on it, or won it, viewed it, or emailed a copy of it to yourself, or shared it with someone else as to how you might be able to find the listing number. I presume you have tried searching expired listings and your own emails for it.

It seems that even if you won an auction, there's no way of viewing it after it's ended. You can see feedback later, but the auction number isn't included anymore.... it used to be included, and you could copy and paste the auction number into the search bar and it would find it. Can't seem to see the old auction numbers anywhere now.

Steve, auction numbers have not been visible on buyers feedback other than your own for a long time now. You can still see those auction numbers on the sellers feedback though. but you may have to wade through a few pages of feedback to find the matching membername. I think the change was made to increase privacy concerns after some people had been getting stalked.
Just checked and it was back in Aug 2017 they made the change, according to announcements.

Hi Wendy, if you don't still have the listing number to search on-site, reach out to our friendly Customer Experience team via Live Chat or email with the information you have about the listing, and they can help with finding the listing details in the archive
