Asking for additional info - Ping payment
Received an email from Trade Me about a card payment I made. It seems really suspect asking for additional information. This is a one off payment and I don’t have a ping account and haven’t used my Trade Me account for quite awhile. Feeling very confused. Please help me!

From time to time, we do get in touch with members through email when we need some extra verification info about a payment or a transfer when using Ping. That email you received was legitimate and did come from us. Great to see you take your online security seriously and wanted to run it by us first.
Card payments made on Trade Me are processed through Ping. And while you might not have used it before, you do have a Ping account as part of your Trade Me account.
