Withdrawing a classified listing

Hi Laurie, awesome to read you've sold your vehicle!

We have a Help page here showing how to withdraw a listing so that should do the trick.

When trying to withdraw a listing, it won't let one do this without ticking one of two option boxes.

1: I sold the item to another Trade me member.

2: I did not sell the item.

Unfortunately I cannot select either of these options as, 1 I do not know if the purchaser was a Trademe member and 2 I did sell the vehicle so unfortunately it still shows my vehicle as being listed for sale even though I ticked the sold box and I am still getting enquiries about it.

Hi again Laurie! It will be option 1 that you will go for here because it sold as a result of the Trade Me listing.

I will do as you advise, however I advertised the vehicle on several sites and the purchaser never told me as to where he sighted the listing.

Hi i have exact same problem as Laurie. I ticked the box for sold to trademe user after withdrawing listing but listing is now shown as unsold instead of sold in my trademe account? I have sold car but unable to place feedback because showing as unsold. Any help?

Hi Ben. Yes, that's what always happens with classifieds and auctions too. It you withdraw the listing, sold or not, it's classed as unsold.

You have never been able to place feedback on classified listings as unlike auctions, there is no buyers membername recorded.

I have had the same trouble as Laurie I have gone through the procedure correctly but it is still showing up andI am still getting emails to view

Unfortunately, by ticking the box saying it was sold to a trademe member, if the purchaser was not, is in fact lying and is boosting trademe listing. Surely this is against good business practice?

I'm having exactly the same experience as Ben...1 mth ago. 

My trailer has been SOLD, via Classified. I went on my listing & used the "sold" button, near top right side, to inform any watchers.

On the next window, i confirmed "sold" again, + to a TradeMe member.

I stated the price. All before any suggestion of “withdrawal”.

Sure i was withdrawing it, but i was expecting it to show SOLD.

Now it's in my Unsold box.

Looks to me like the “SOLD” button is not properly in the loop.
