What is the recommended reasonable time for allowing a purchaser to sort a pick up of the goods they have bought? My purchaser lives in the south island and says it has a furniture courier it uses, and that courier will ring me.It has been two weeks now and no calls despite my indicating I want to move the goods by this weekend.

Callum Community SuperuserAccording to Trade Me traders are allowed 2 days for contact, and 7 days for completion.
But, it depends. If the buyer arranged something different before they purchased it and you agreed to that then you will have to stick with it.
Likewise if you were happy to sell it and think it would be difficult to sell again you might like to allow them more time.

Eek, you need to factor into account if it's reasonable that the weather elements have had a bearing on the current status.
Perhaps reach out to them and ask, they may be impacted by the rain etc.
A little kindness in such situations may not go astray either way.
Keep the communications chanel open - challenging if you are moving house yourself and downsizing etc.
What's more important?
An eventual sale of the items?
Or stuck with them or given away for free?

flossy63 Community SuperuserWhen you have Items that must be picked up, It it best to state a firm time line on your Auction, like 10 or 14 days etc.I use to have 10 days, which can give 2 full weekends, as always listed those items on a Thursday or Friday, so they had 2 weekends to organize a trailer etc. as most people with common sense will have something sorted / organized ready to put into action before they even win,1 -
Despite my requests, the purchaser has not arranged uplift of the goods paid for, getting on 2 1/2 weeks. Am I now entitled to cancel and relist the items. What about refund after cancellation - would i only refund the amount i received after fee deducted?

You refund the full amount. The Ping fee will be refunded to you automatically.
