Accidental wrong fixed price offer amount
Just looking at what my rights would be on this matter as I need a quick answer and TM is quite slow with getting back.
Had an item listed for $50. Last night while doing offer I accidently offered offer item out for $4.50 instead of $45 and they have accepted and paid.
Have emailed them with explanation of error but am worried this could become hostile for a genuine mistake.
Do I have to sell it to them for that price? I paid over $80 for item originally and hardly used (rice cooker) and really don't want to just let it go for $4.50.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Most people would be understanding of a genuine and obvious mistakes, so as long as you have refunded them if they have paid, and apologised to them for your error, all should be fine. Genuine mistakes in pricing can not be enforced.

Yes have emailed them with explanation and done a refund.
What if they are not understanding? What if they give bad feedback for a genuine mistake? Would that be fair?

I wouldn't worry about something that hasn't happened yet. Get in first with feedback explaining and apologies and anyone looking can see that, including TradeMe should things not go to plan later

OP. You are covered under the Contractual Mistakes Act 1977 where if a price is offered and that is a genuine error, you are not obliged to go through with the transaction
