Are courier costs going up with the current oil crisis?

The NZpost Variable Fuel Rate (VFR) is calculated 2 monthly in arrears. It will be increasing from 2.9% to 6.2% on May 1st

NZcouriers calculate weekly and is at 17.70%

Aramax is currently at 34.00%

If you mean the general yearly price increases for casual users they usually happen on July 1, with a lag of a few weeks or months on Trade Me Book a Courier. Places like ishipping, vertical logistics, pass the parcel, and all the other agents out there also generally follow the July 1 increases. Some are able to hold their prices for a bit longer after the increases are announced. 

Passthe parcel are usually an Oct/ Nov annual price increase. However, my guess is as they have no FAF compontent, they may well raise the prices earlier this year to reduce their reduce in margin
